A Summer Wedding Inspired by Flowers and Beer

You’ve got to love a couple who isn’t afraid to mix things up! Colleen and Nick tied the knot last summer on August 24th at The Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton, Colorado. This vibrant couple blended soft floral details with their love for bold Colorado brews, creating a celebration that was as unique and fun as their love story!

The Wedding Invitation Suite
Colleen had a clear vision for their wedding invitations: “bold meets beauty.” To bring this vision to life, we combined classic fonts in a rich burgundy with a natural watercolor floral design. While the design leaned towards a more feminine touch, Nick wanted to add balance. We incorporated a blue RSVP envelope and details card, which perfectly complemented the suite. Both Colleen and Nick were thrilled with the elegant burgundy panel pocket enclosure, ensuring all the pieces were securely held together while adding an extra layer of sophistication to the invitations.

This bride and groom were committed to creating a cohesive look for their wedding, so they returned to me to design their day-of wedding signage. To ensure everything came together beautifully with their chosen décor, we carried over the same colors, fonts, and design motifs from their wedding invitations. The result? A stunning, unified style that perfectly complemented the celebration, from the invitations to the last detail of the big day.

The Wedding Seating Chart

This wedding had a large guest list, and Colleen and Nick were looking for a way to organize seating for their reception, which would be held in a tent. To save space, I suggested a fabric sign that could hang just outside the tent. The fabric worked perfectly for this outdoor wedding, as it would hold up in case of rain.

Given the couple’s deep love for Colorado beer, they added a personal touch by decorating their reception tables with growlers collected from local Colorado breweries. We incorporated the brewery logos into the seating chart, helping guests easily find their seats while adding a fun and meaningful element to the decor.

The Wedding Favors
Finally, Colleen and Nick asked me to design and print labels for their wedding favors. Each guest received a little jar filled with honey, placed on their setting. I used the same floral artwork from the wedding invitations and added a charming honey bee to the labels. It was a simple yet personal touch, transforming an ordinary jar of honey into a meaningful keepsake for their guests.
