Enchanted Elegance: A Winter Wedding in Vail, Colorado

Jan 4, 2025

Lexy and Shane Tie the Knot at the Four Seasons Resort Vail

Nestled in the heart of the snow-draped Rockies, the Four Seasons Resort in Vail, Colorado set the stage for a wedding steeped in moody elegance and timeless sophistication. Lexy and Shane selected a palette of black and white, with subtle gold accents. These colors presented a celebration that blended dramatic modernity with the natural allure of a mountain wonderland. From the intimate outdoor ceremony to the candlelit reception adorned with white roses, every detail captured the essence of romance in a winter paradise.

Getting Their Guests Excited: Save the Dates & Invitations

Starting with the save the date announcement, Lexy and Shane requested just a hint of the mountains to be included, so we designed a clean and classic black and white layout to reflect the couple’s modern aesthetic.

Their wedding invitation suite introduced a more moody and dramatic tone, featuring black card stock. When their guests opened the invitation envelope, they were greeted with an eye-catching duogram of “S” and “L” printed in a gleaming gold foil stamp surrounded by a blind emboss pattern. We combined these special printing techniques to create the air of sophisticated luxury with a contemporary edge. The backside design of the invitation card was typography only—presenting the wedding ceremony details in white ink letterpress. The invitation suite was paired with matching envelopes lined in metallic gold with a gold wax seal on the back flap to beautifully set an unforgettable first impression for Lexy and Shane’s big day.

The Big Day: Ceremony and Reception Design

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Colorado’s majestic peaks, this wedding was a symphony of timeless beauty. The Four Season’s Resort in Vail, nestled in the heart of the mountains, combined natural grandeur with luxurious details, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for Lexy and Shane’s wedding ceremony and reception.

The reception space was a glowing haven of romance. Long tables, draped in pristine white linens, stretched across the room, each adorned with an abundance of candlelight. The soft glow from pillar candles and tea lights, arranged in clusters at varying heights, cast a warm and intimate light that complemented the surrounding snowy mountain views.

Every detail of the reception was meticulously chosen to enhance the overall color palette, blending seamlessly to create a cohesive look. White florals served as the centerpiece of the decor, with arrangements featuring white roses and touches of greenery added a subtle contrast.

Lexy and Shane selected gold table numbers to add a touch of opulence to the tablescapes. Striking black-and-white dinner menus were designed to feature the same bold typography and minimalist design from the save the date and invitation suite. The menus were placed elegantly at each setting, reflecting the couple’s contemporary style. And coordinating place cards attached to the menus with silk ribbons, guided guests to their seats, offering a personal and polished touch.

Designing with Lexy and Shane was an absolute joy. Their luxurious wedding in the Colorado mountains was more than an event; it was a masterpiece of romance and celebration. Every aspect of their wedding stationery—from the big pieces like their invitation suite, to the smallest details like their table number cards—reflected the couple’s vision and set the stage for an amazing day to remember.
